We’re all familiar with the childhood tale of the Tortoise and the Hare.
I always wondered what went through the mind of that little green fellow as he challenged the hare to a race. The odds seemed stacked against him.
But that hare was cunning, fast, and filled with pride. He was sure to have it made. This was his turf and he had the wind on his side (so to speak)
The tortoise remained slow, steady, and focused.
He knew he had the determination and the persistence to make it to the end. He’s clearly the poster child for what it means to have no excuses. Above all he’s a clever little chap – knowing his virtue could win the day.
Now I’m not saying that you need to slow down to a crawl and work your way up the hill of success at a snails pace.
What I’m inviting you to do is “plan your work and work your plan” by using your talents to get win the game.
The opposite means being trying to be something you’re not …
And, no one really wins that way.
So how did the tortoise beat the hare at his own game ?
